DigitalHeritage 2015: Behind the Expo
Sofia Pescarin
DigitalHeritage Expo is a large exhibition on Digital Heritage that includes around 30 applications presented in 8 main sections: Interpreting our past; Preserving and disseminating heritage in danger; Finding the way into the past; Acquiring and reproducing heritage; Experiencing the past; Immersing in the past; Digital Libraries; Videos and Stereo Computer animations. In each section, presented projects try to solve most important issues in the field of Cultural Heritage and Digital Technologies. It is organsed in Granada, inside the Science Museum. The Exhibition is the perfect conjunction between the scientific congress and final users, and between scientists coming from the heritage domain and those coming from ICT and other “hard” sciences.
The workshop represents a unique occasion to understand what's behind the scene of the projects visible at the exhibition, which innovative aspects are developed, which problems have been solved.
The workshop is organised in two sessions, each of them followed by the visit to the exhibit where the authors who presented could answer to more specific questions.
