Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology (CAA) is sponsoring this panel discussion exploring key challenges in digital archaeology. Topics will include: data preservation; field acquisition and recording; data access; open data; publication and data dissemination, both for a scholarly audience and for the public; and 3D content/3D modeling for cultural heritage. Each panelist will give a brief presentation on their perceptions of some of the key challenges, either related to their own work or to the field generally. The presentations will be followed by discussion among the speakers as well as the audience to address the questions raised.
