I am the Innovation Director at the IT Innovation Centre – an off-campus applied research centre at the University of Southampton in the UK. As well as developing innovation opportunities, I am responsible for a number of research projects in the fields of archive, media, social media, human-machine networks, e-government and of course CH artefact reconstruction. Here at IT Innovation we look for novel applications of emerging IT technology, and the ways that they can be applied to real-world challenges and opportunities. I am happy to talk to anyone about media, social media, semantics, risk analysis and decision support, especially when there is an interesting application to go with it.
