User empowerment towards more inclusive societies is a key issue in my current research. I study how digital technology can be exploited as an enabler to increase user participation in society, and this taking care of avoiding the digital divide. This topic is relevant in different application domains. I contribute to projects related to health and welfare, social innovation and cultural heritage.
My background is software engineering. I have over thirty years of experience as developer, architect, research scientist and technical manager. I have gained competence in the application of user centred design and technology evaluation through the leadership of trial activities in several EU projects.
I studied at Télécom ParisTech (MSc) and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Dr. ing).
I am French. I live in Trondheim, Norway since 1988.
